Stop Unreasonable Child Support Policy

We Believe

It is responsible, appropriate and reasonable to support children whether after divorce or born out of wedlock.

We Believe

Involved fathers make for successful children.

But We Object…

To child support policy that decimates families and needlessly creates incentives for litigation.

We Object to Child Support Policy that

… is coercive

…that treats fathers as second-class citizens

…that turns good fathers into fugitives and prisoners.

…that institutionalizes a debtors prison.

…that decimates people financially.

The State of Arizona believes

That you are a deadbeat.

That you don’t care about your children.

That fathers are just a checkbook and an ATM card.

The State of Arizona plans

To unveil a child support policy that institutionalizes a debtors prison.

To force utterly irrational child support orders on the people of Arizona.

The Proposed Model has been named the “Child Outcome-Based Support” Model or COBS.

This new Model is Based On

Managing disparate standards of living between parents.

To accomplish this, the newly proposed guidelines goes far beyond what is fair and equitable.  The new model clearly embeds spousal maintenance into the child support order.

Many child support orders will increase by 50%, 100%, 200% or more.

You can sit back and hope that this doesn’t happen to you or you can take action.

What can I do?

1) Send an e-mail to the Arizona Judicial Council and tell them that the new child support guidelines are unconscionable. The AJC can be e-mailed at: ajc@courts.az.gov

2) Get involved in the movement to stop COBS by writing to Arizona Fathers’ Rights

3) Contact your State Representative or State Senator and let them know what you think.

4) Contact the Governor’s office.

5) Donate to Arizona Fathers’ Rights — Funds will be used to secure an independent evaluation of COBS and compel policymakers to adhere to state and federal law – Donate Here

Will you sit back and hope that it doesn’t happen to you or will you stand up and join us to demand justice?!
